The importance of eating breakfast

Life is fast and requires our constant attention. In this fast-paced life, we skip important things like eating breakfast. Now try to remember when was the last time you peacefully ate your breakfast while being grateful for the beautiful morning and delicious warm breakfast. Even if you somehow manage to crunch in your breakfast, you might be eating it in your class, workplace, or while in the car or bus. We seldom get time to sit and eat the first meal of the day. I know, it is difficult to peacefully sit when you have a lecture at 8 or a meeting at 9. But I encourage you to sit and eat at least during weekends or holidays.

Breakfast is regarded as the most important meal of the day. Why?  Now imagine your body being hungry for 8 or more hours during the night. It needs to break its fast, right? I know this is super cliche but it is true. According to the University of New Hampshire’s article, “Breakfast gives you your first boost of energy that you will carry... (“Benefits of Breakfast”)” This is an important reason to add breakfast as a part of your morning routine. It is also important to eat the right kind of breakfast as this is your first and essential meal of the day. Adding carbohydrates and proteins can be an amazing option to get an energy boost in the morning. Try to steer away from sugary cereals that have minimal nutritional value. Maybe a fresh fruit with traditional oatmeal might help. Or perhaps bread toast with a protein like eggs sounds like a good idea. If this does not convince you to invest in breakfast, check these delicious and healthy recipes: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipes/15334/healthy-recipes/breakfast-and-brunch/. I am positive that looking at these recipes will definitely convince you to enjoy breakfast. Bon Appetit!
